Low-level requests¶
Typed methods should be the default. OkatanaClient.request exists for compatible v1 extensions and diagnostic calls.
var response = client.request(
"GET",
"/extension/status",
Map.of("verbose", true),
null,
null
);
JsonNode body = response.body();
The low-level path can also be an absolute URL only when it remains under the configured Okatana API base.
The low-level call still receives bearer authentication, Accept headers, timeout handling, retries according to method, JSON serialization, and structured HTTP errors.
Do not use the low-level method to bypass typed request validation for a route already supported by the SDK unless you have a specific compatibility reason.
